WHY SHOULD YOU SUPPORT THE FOUNDATION?

While national and state issues and officials often clamor for attention,
local governments deliver the daily services that make much of modern life
possible – such as water, sewer, police and fire protection, streets, traffic control,
parks and recreation. Providing these essential services, however, is increasingly difficult as costs rise, demand increases, regulatory requirements become more complicated and willingness to pay declines. Yet without a strong foundation of municipal infra-structure and services, a community cannot prosper economically, providing jobs forits residents and a future for its children.

To meet the needs of their citizens, municipal officials must learn to be strong local leaders, able to think creatively, manage public assets wisely and
build a consensus among constituents about what a successful future will be.
